The disadvantage of this running shoe is that it can never determine where the support is needed in the foot. Running shoes are still mass products and are unable to offer a solution for every individual running problem. Depending on the foot deviation, a custom made sports sole is an alternative to an anti-pronation shoe. Never use them both!
During running, the joints, bones, and muscles get a lot to endure. The idea was always that proper cushioning would relieve the joints under the foot, but there is no evidence for this. If the body does not have too much cushioning between the sole of the foot and the ground, the body feels better about what strength is required and can anticipate this better.
